I’ve been mildly wanting to play Halo 3: ODST for a week or two now, just not enough to pay $60 for the game, or be bothered to go and rent the game because that would entail a) signing up somewhere b) making TWO trips to the place to get/return the disc. Also, I don’t want to be pressured with a timed rental service like Gamefly because I would always feel like I should be turning the game back in to get my money’s worth out of the service. Instead, I would like to see digital rentals on full-retail Xbox 360 (and Playstation 3, I’m not picky) games. I’ve mentioned this before, but I still don’t think enough people are talking about it.
I’d pay $10 to have the game for a week, no problem. I’d do that for a few games (Batman: Arkham Asylum and Xmen Origins: Wolverine come to mind, as well as the fact that we have too many subtitled/coloned games out nowadays). Maybe have the digital rentals come out a week after the retail copy hits stores, that way retailers wouldn’t whine about it? Would you be up for that?

Russ…just borrow my copy…I finished the campaign, and the halo 3 multiplayer is on a second disc anyways. I can do without it for a couple weeks, I have like four other games I am playing at the moment and I am not actively trying to beat the legendary campaign since I have other fresh games to play.
yeah but that negates the laziness of being able to download it without driving anywhere…maybe i’ll grab it after my parents visit :)
I just rented a game from Blockbuster for the first time in years, and it was a major pain in the ass.
exactly.
Buy Batman. It really IS that good!
Yeah seriously guys, the game is Bioshock meets Super Metroid and has Batman in it!!! It is totally worth full price as it offers one of the best single player experiences this year.
I just beat the lengendary campaign on ODST, Woohoo!
