Sometimes some really good intel comes out of Twitter, you just have to be following the right peeps. @majornelson just Twitted that 13 month (twelve paid plus one free) Xbox Live Gold subscriptions are on sale on Amazon for only $29.97. That’s a full twenty dollhairs off the regular $49.99 price.

Even if you don’t need to renew a subscription in the very near future like me, I highly suggest jumping on this most frugal of opportunities. All the online playing, Netflix, demos, and everything else that comes with an Xbox Live Gold membership is well worth this price. My card is already on its way, I just wish they could email you the code upon purchase, as opposed to snail-mailing out an actual card. Meh.
