Tonight, the entire staff of threevue.com tried to get online and play Castle Crashers, but all was not well. Only 2/3 of us could get online in the same room at any time. Then Tyler had to leave to watch a movie (I think it was a midnight screening of Bambi), so then Mark and I played for about, oh, 5 minutes before it booted him off. Happened one more time and then we called it a day. And we pay $50 a year for this?

In case u didn’t know, the online multiplayer of castle crashers has always been bad. Hopefully the upcoming patch can fix these connectivity problems.
Yeah, you’re right, I just read about it:

Given the title of the post, I guess this is only fitting, but after the torturous wait for Dead Space, I finally picked up a copy yesterday – I tried to pick up a copy on Friday (launch day) but was told by the store I was in that all copies had been recalled at the last minute. Weird!
Anyway, I took it home and fired it up, and was horrified to see the game freeze up during the opening cutscene. I tried again – same thing (it even froze up at the exact same spot). I tried it a couple more times and it happened every time.
At this point I tried Soul Calibur 4 to see if it froze up too. It did. Actually it froze up both times I played it in more or less the exact same spot too.
I did manage to get past the opening cutscene in DS, and have played through the first half hour of the game; a process which has taken me around 2 hours as the game keeps locking up before I reach save points!
Result: it looks like my Xbox is on the way out, but I’ll probably have to pay for repairs as my Xbox hasn’t actually reached RROD heaven yet(!).
I wonder if it’s possible to towel-trick the sucker to death.
Balls!
Wow, that’s terrible. This is the worst time to have your Xbox die on you, with all the rad games coming out. Hope it works out.
That sucks dude. I’ve heard about the towel trick. Is this your first busted Xbox?
yeah, I’ve had it for just over 2 years without any (major) problems, and in that time it’s seen some pretty hardcore usage, plus I use it as my main DVD player.
I wouldn’t care if not for the fact that I had a 60 day streak recently, then pretty much stopped playing it entirely for a few weeks. Then when I want to play it, it breaks (sort of). I wonder if it’s mad at me? Lol.
I’ll call MS today and see what they say.
Raul, you had the same problem a little while ago – it cost you around $100 to get yours fixed, right?
