Crab Towne USA

Tonight my wife and I went to a local crab place called “Crab Towne USA”. I had heard about its all-you-can-eat crab and shrimp, and since I’m new to Maryland I thought it would be my best bet to try out the East Coast’s prized blue crabs.

The place was very informal (read: picnic tables), and Keno and horse racing were going on the whole time. The food itself was pretty good, although a little pricey at $30 considering the type of place it was. But can you complain about unlimited crabs? Honestly, I didn’t care for blue crabs that much, especially when compared to the dungeness crab that I’m used to; they’re small, the meat is too sweet, and the legs aren’t even worth eating. Luckily, they gave me a butt-ton of crabs so I just ate the good parts.

Crazily enough, they had about 50 arcade machines, all of them at least ten years old and $.25 each game. One of them was a game I had never seen before; Nintendo’s Arm Wrestling, which looks like Punch Out!‘s annoying little brother:

Holy crap dude, that is a butt-ton of crabs!

LOL. Is it just me or does “Texas Mac” get shot in the neck at the beginning of that video? That must surely put him at a disadvantage!

I have been to Crab Towne USA about 10 times. I’ve never had the crabs, or any other food for that matter. I have however dropped many quarters into their slots. Which you would think might earn you some crabs at some point, but despite its outward appearence, Crab Towne USA is pretty clean.
