The answer is “Awesomely beautiful and rapturously full of genuinely cryptic portent”. Hopefully this game will address the problem of rudely indifferent Zombie bartenders and their actions towards Johnny Depp look-alikes.

Seriously though, I’m looking forward to this game too. I’ve never played any of the Fallout games before, but it looks like an awesome premise for a game.
I was also going to try to play through Oblivion before this comes out - I have it but have just never got around to playing it.
When is Fallout 3 due to come out anyway?
The official Fallout 3 website says “Fall 08.” IGN has it coming out Oct. 1st, and various other sites have it as Oct. 7, so, somewhere around there.
You’re right, it does look pretty brown, as do a lot of the other screens out there.

Yep brown-ness seems to be a general trend in games just now.
I really hope Fallout 3 scores well when it’s released - the guys from Joystiq and X3F said on their podcasts that their hands-on time with it at E3 was awesome, so chances are it’ll be pretty good.
