Just like everyone else with a shiny new 3G iPhone (or an OG iPhone upgraded to 2.0), I have quite a few useful apps. I have one that looks up restaurants based on my current location, one that looks up movie theaters and showtimes, one for nearby gas stations, etc…

iWant does all that in one app. It can find the nearest restaurants, bars, coffee shops, grocery stores, pharmacies, clothing stores, theaters (with showtimes), hotels, department stores, banks, gas stations and rental car places - all of which is one button-press away. When you click on one of the buttons, you can see something like this:

Your results also provide reviews (from Yelp) as well as a map and address/phone number, and you can choose to sort your options by nearest or top-rated. You can also adjust the search radius. You can do all this stuff through the Google Map function of the iPhone, and you could look up everything in Yelp, but it’s nice to have everything in one simple app.
