Does Anybody Want the 360 to Become the Wii?

The answer is yes. Microsoft does, to be sure. How can we tell? Because this is what they want the Xbox to become. Does it look good? Sure, Does it look familiar? You Betcha. All you would need is a little gloved hand to come out of the corner of the screen and pick up your persona and shake him around.

Get it?

All I’m saying is that casual is casual and hardcore is hardcore and never the twain shall meet. Or am I wrong. Was Resident Evil the perfect mixture of a Hardcore game on a casual system? I for one like the stripped down interface of XBL, it puts you right in to the game. You don’t want to spend time in the dashboard because it’s boring. I mean, I don’t want to go through the “quirky fun” of creating a Lil’ Hitler avatar to cheer play in the outfield of some mini-game collection baseball game again. Let’s move on and stop strip mining the cheery/accessible likeness of Nintendo for Microsoft. You have a good thing going.

Well as much as I like Xbox live, it does seem souless b/c everyone is just a picture and a nametag. This will give it personality, plus it will let us do something we should have been able to do with our Miis, customize them.

Are you saying that a picture of Eddy J. Olmos is not enough personality for you?

You tease me Mark, I want his whole damn body!!! Oh and wouldn’t it be cool if your achievements had an effect on your Avatar like for example I beat Ninja Gaiden 2 and Lego Indy recently, could my Avatar wear a ninja outfit and carry a whip?
