I’m going to be at an AT&T store at 8am on July 11th to get my hands on the new iPhone. Until then, I’m listing all the ways I hope this new gadget will improve my life:

I’ve owned a Mac for about a year and a half now, and I’m sorry to say that my iCal application is woefully underused. I could only update it on my computer, and couldn’t access it from any other computer. It would sync with my iPod, but it was read-only, so I couldn’t update it or anything. I used Google’s calendar for a while instead, since I could update it from anywhere, but it didn’t sync with my iPod so it was no help. In the end, I just gave up altogether.

Not anymore. I plan on using my calendar to update the things I have the hardest time remembering - my gazzilion medical appointments. Also, I hope to set up a reminder feature to make sure I take my damn medications every morning and evening - you wouldn’t believe how easily I forget to take them. Hopefully with a little reminder thingamajig in my pocket at all times, I won’t miss any more appointments or meds.
