Under Control

I work with a major Halo/COD4 fanboy who said he “very disappointed” in Battlefield: Bad Company. This is simply because it doesn’t have the Legacy control option where the left stick moves you back and forth and looks around, and the right one strafes. It seems like a really old school control, but he hates the default option so much, that he refuses to play the game after reserving and buying the gold edition. I feel somewhat responsible, because I was heavily talking the game up, and that’s mostly why he bought it.

I have issues with controls in games quite often, but I’m also able to adapt to new methods. I think it’s a little unfair to hate a game just because of the controls, unless it’s the controlling of vehicles that make a certain head-crab zombie game unplayable. Then it’s ok.

Disregard the highlighted parts of the picture above, it was the only one I could find.

The controls are a non-issue with that game. It’s the hit and miss humor that was the problem in my opinion.

It was actually funnier than I thought it was going be. I’m not really far into the campaign yet, but so far I like it.
