It turns out that I was wrong about the Battlefield: Bad Company single player; it’s actually pretty good. I didn’t say it was going to be bad, but after choking down half the BF2MC campaign, I didn’t expect too much out of this one either. The demo did not do it justice, because I’m not finding my squadmates to be nearly as annoying as I did when I played abbreviated first level, and there are many more elements to the game that what is shown. The dialogue is pretty funny, and I like to hear what the peeps around me, especially Haggard, have to say.
I peeled myself off the multiplayer yesterday to give it a try, and I’m glad I did. I’ll definitely play through the rest of it at least once.
