Although I’ve been known to enjoy the occasional Square/Enix RPG (Final Fantasies 7 and 9, in particular), I’ve never been a fan of those isometric, dungeon-crawling hack and slash games. I think the game I’ve spent the most time with is that X-Men RPG that came out on the PSP; as you can tell from the fact that I can’t remember its name (nor do I want to spend the energy looking it up), it was a memorable experience.
Call me a snob, but I just can’t stand that isometric viewpoint in games. It does nothing to make me feel immersed in the experience. I also am not a fan of killing a bunch of things and picking up what they drop (here’s looking at you, WoW). So, count me out when it comes time to start up your Diablo III LAN party.
