Predator is one of my favorite movies. You know why? Because it introduced me to the idea of the hunter becoming the hunted. It blew my mind at the time. Also, it was the first time for me that a movie had a real twist. I remember watching the movie with my Dad as a kid, and thinking “Cool, Army guys, guns and explosions!” Then… out of nowhere, some invisible alien made out of knives and lasers starts cutting the heroes in half! I lost my shit. It was an awesome movie made awesomer. It’s hard to imagine not knowing this was going to happen, nowadays. We all say, “Who wouldn’t cover themselves in mud to camouflage their thermal heat?” But back then, it was genius.
Oh yeah, and the big Indian guy is running for Senator. What is with this movie and politics?
