For the next few weeks I’m treated with the fact that the new BSG episodes are airing in the UK on Tuesdays (as opposed to the regular Fridays here in the US), which means that us internet-TV-downloading-savvy types get to watch episodes 8-10 a few days early.

** Caution: major spoilers ahead. Read only if you’ve watched Battlestar Galactica up to Season 4, ep 8. **

Sooooo, Colonel (Admiral?) Tigh knocked up the Six? That seemed a little surprising. Remember two seasons ago what it was a huge deal that a cylon got pregnant, now they’re sprouting up all over the place? Is just the first cylon/human baby significant? Because last I checked there are three total mixtures - Hera, Nicholas (Tyrol’s kid) and the upcoming little Tigh tike. And is the last one really a mix, or is it just a super cylon?

I’m not surprised by Lee Adama’s appointment, but I think that whole fallout with his lawyer friend was pretty stupid.

On to the good stuff - the final cylon model. Did you notice all the Doc Cottle imagery when that Six was dying? She was reaching for his hand, and seeing him and Earth at the same time? I really don’t think he’s the final model but I think the writers are throwing out some red herrings. Other than that I didn’t really get any other ideas.

I did like Tigh’s face when Adama was giving him that line about how he really “came to know himself” or whatever he said.
