I feel really bad for PS3 owners. They’ll never know the feeling of the extreme gratification that arises when an achievement is unlocked. I started thinking about this last night while I was trying to get the “King of QUB3D” cheever in GTA4 (didn’t get it), and realized that these secondary activities in the game (bowling, darts, pool, etc.) are going to be so easily overlooked by the PlayStationPublic simply because there is no reward for playing them.
Well, at least they have PlayStation Home. Oh wait, no they don’t.

Heh.
It sucks that they don’t achievements but at least they will never play games like Airbender to earn them.
tmnt ftw
Is PS3 really that Bad? Xbox-360 is getting more games but I’d say more of the games are not worth buying. Either too short or bad playability. I’m not a fanboy of any system. I am getting ready to buy one of the two. Just not sure which one yet. Right now the 360 is rocking but I think by the New Year the PS3 will be caught up. It really depends if SONY cat have a reliable Online service.
If the PS3 catches up with the Xbox360 with a better number of games, I just hope that they aren’t bug-riddled like The Orange Box was. But I think Mark’s point is that even if the PS3 meets Microsoft’s game library, they’re missing out with a lack of achievement points.
Yeah, I don’t hate the PS3, and hopefully I’ll get one in the near future, I’m just saying that after getting a taste of the world of achievement points, everything else tastes a little bland.
The only reason I don’t have a PS3 is lack of money. I would love to see its online system rival xbox live so that microsoft can have harder time justifying me paying 50 dollars a year
I’d rather play MGS 4 without achievements than Gears of War 2, Fable 2, or Banjo Kazooie 3 combined.
Double true, Raul.
I know, but forgot to say that me and my gf got Boom Blox on Friday and it is awesome. Best third party Wii game I played in a long time.
sorry I mean we bought it on thursday.
Yeah, I heard it was good. Can you believe 1up gave it an A+? That’s the same score they gave GTA4.
