For the past two years, my iPod has slowly been getting more and more rebellious. I’m a pretty organized guy (at least electronically) and my iTunes library (currently boasting 11,702 songs) is a shining example of that – I have all the song, artist and album names correctly identified and numbered, with the year, genre and album art all in sync.
Problem is, my iPod would often show the wrong album art while the song is playing. Although it was funny at first, it got really annoying. I had spent years getting my electronic library perfect, and now my little black monster was screwing everything up. And it got really bad, where every third track showed the wrong album art.
After perusing about a million sites, I found the solution – all I had to do was uncheck the “show album art on my iPod” button in the Preferences menu, eject the iPod, plug it back in and re-select the “show album art on my iPod” button. And faster than you can say “Shazaam!”, my library is perfect again.
